Howdy ! Here's a project I have been working on for 3 weeks now ! I am passionated by WWII Era weapons or military equipment, but aviation holds a special place. I always wanted to recreate the juggernaut that is the p47 and moreover, why not one that we saw especially here on the french theatre ! I wanted to recreate as much pieces as I could (and that we could see) and took flight simulators such as IL2, DCS or MFS as references to know to which point I could push the details I could do. It also gave me the opportunity to work on a radial aircraft engine such as the Pratt & Whitney R2800 and to also recreate the M2 .50 Cal (that beast had 8 of them !) that I recently could see with my own eyes !
Some pieces are left to do (and also to understand their use) but here's a preview of what it looks like currently !
